• Tell us you want to set up a portrait sitting for the baby contest.
• Pay for the sitting ($35).
• PLEASE read our Children's Portrait Info on the Portrait Information Page.
• Come to your sitting on the date we schedule.
• Return to view your pictures.
• Select the picture you want entered into the contest. That's it!

All contest entry fees are donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

We set aside up to 60 minutes for each sitting. That doesn't mean we will use all 60 minutes, but it's there if we need it (for feeding, changing, fussiness, etc.) Please arrive on time, and feel free to ask questions. We want you to know what to expect next.

Contest Information

The rules

This contest is for all children six months to 24 months of age, boys and girls.

• Contest begins March 1 and ends on April 15.
• Your child must be between six and 24 months of age at the time of the sitting.
• The sitting fee must be paid in advance of your sitting.
• The image you select from your sitting will be submitted "as is" without modifications or enhancements (minor retouching may be done for acne or dry skin).
• Judging of the contest is done by independent judges which are not selected until the contest is completed.
• Each of the judges selects a first, second and third favorite.
• The image with the highest total score wins first place. The next highest score gets second place, etc.
• There are three top prizes and two honorable mentions.
• Winners in this contest will be announced on April 29. All selections are final.

Prize Distribution

Prizes from outside merchants are distributed based on availability, age of contestant child, and placement from judging.

The minimum prizes from TLC Photography are as follows:

• First Place: $250 in gift cards and one year entry into Childrens Portrait Program ($199 value)
• Second Place: $250 in gift cards
• Third Place: $150 in gift cards
• Honorable Mentions: $75 in gift cards, each

Prize distribution occurs after announcement of prize winners.

What do I get if I win?

That's always the big question. But to be honest, we don't know everything yet. Each year, we add several prize sponsors throughout the contest (it runs for a month and a half), which adds to the prize pool. The prize pool is then split among the winners from both divisions of the contest. But here's what we CAN tell you about who is already participating:

So, while the prizes will vary, you can be sure you're going to get some great pictures of your child(ren), help a wonderful cause (St. Jude Children's Research Hospital), and be in the running for some pretty nice prizes!

We are also waiving pose charges, and offering specials on image files for photos from the contest.
