Easter is April 8 this year… and boy howdy did that just creep up on us or what???
Well, we sometimes get to take the Easter weekend off, and we sometimes don’t. This year, it is one that we will. So, that said, we’re going to be closed on Saturday, April 7 so that we can enjoy a three-day weekend. If you need us, you know how to get at us…
Enjoy your Easter holiday… if that includes a spring break or something along those lines, please be careful and come see us this spring!
Hannah attends Boonsboro High School, and is in the class of 2013.
Hannah came to us with her family for portraits a couple of years ago. We were happy to see her back. Hannah braved 25mph winds to get some great images for her folio.

Addam attends Musselman High School, and is in the class of 2013.
When we first talked with Addam, we compared his name with the infamous “Addams Family”. Now when we say his name, we click twice. Not everyone will get that… only the cool people.

Desiree attends Martinsburg High School, and is in the class of 2013.
I first met Desiree on Facebook, when she “friended” me as a local photographer (she is an artist in her own right). She does pretty well on the other side of the camera, too.

Sydney attends Musselman High School, and is in the class of 2013.
Although I’d met Sydney during her older sister Jordan’s model shoot in Charles Town last year, it wasn’t until Sydney herself was before the camera that we learned that she really knows the poses.

Katlyn attends Hedgesville High School, and is in the class of 2013.
The first time we met Katlyn was as a model at one of our posing workshops. That kind of set things in motion…

Jacqui attends Musselman High School, and is in the class of 2013.
She’s a face in the crowd to some, but when she stepped in front of the camera, all that changed and she became someone people will look at a little differently now.

Okay, okay!!
Yeah, you can’t say free and then not tell people about it. But here’s where it starts. We’ve run all kinds of contests and promotions, both on our Facebook page and on the blog. But we’ve always run them as photo-based contests (go figure, huh, that a photographer runs a photo contest). Anyway… this, our first of many giveaways, is not a photo contest. Instead it is a writing contest. Read on… read on.
We are giving away a complete engagement portrait session. You don’t already have to be a client, and there are no exclusions to the prize winners. In addition to the session, you will also get an 11×14 print from the session, and 25 save-the-date cards designed exclusively by us (includes envelopes).
So, how do you enter?
Simple. Tell us a story. About how you met your future spouse. Don’t be sparse with the words, either. “We met at a party” will probably not get you very far. We need to feel the romance, and the “love at first sight” moments. Remember, we’re romantics here at TLC Photography… we adore a good love story. But it’s not just us you’ll have to impress. All of the submitted stories will be put on to our Facebook page for our guests there to read and vote on. This is about a $475 value… all free. All you have to do is write a story.
Here’s exactly how to do it:
If you KNOW of someone who is engaged, just got engaged, or might be getting engaged, TELL THEM ABOUT THIS. It’s the potential to win a free portrait session… in-studio or on-location… and a bunch of free stuff to go with it. Go now… tell all… or begin telling YOUR tale of how you met your spouse-to-be.

It is about this time each year that we start our quest for qualified help for the summer positions listed below. But please, before you apply blindly you must understand a few things about the job(s) and us. The jobs are most usually filled by people who are happy, eager to learn, don’t mind working with creative people (we aren’t the easiest), and have a mind that can create along with us. We are a mom and pop shop, albeit one that acts and thinks on a bigger scale than that. You should think that way, too. The job descriptions don’t begin to scratch the surface. 🙂
Both positions are part-time, not permanent (although the potential is there), and have variable hours (i.e., there is no fixed schedule). We are happy to work around school schedules, other jobs, children’s schedules, etc. The perfect candidate for either position will be someone who doesn’t “need” the job, but wants to augment their income in our fast-paced studio.
Basically, we need good people who want to have fun, don’t mind doing grunt work, and can remain chipper at all times. While we cannot legally state we need someone “of a certain age,” we are truly discerning and up front about the job during any interview. If you’re a wallflower, please don’t contact us. We want people who are going to work WITH us, not just FOR us.
To apply, do one of the following:
PLEASE do not call. The reason is simple… we want to leave the phone open for client calls. If you contact us via messaging, we can email you with information that you can read at your convenience and respond accordingly.
Thanks for looking!
