Senior: Victoria

She told her mother, “as long as I have my guitar shots, I don’t care what else we do.”  And so it was to be.  There were a few glamour images, too, which made it into the family living room.

Senior: Kaytee

Okay, her name is spelled Katie, but she’s known to everyone as Kaytee.  Arriving with her mom and her BFF (best friend forever, for those who aren’t up on the lingo) Haylee managed to do something that nobody has ever done at our studio… climb the wall.  It was fun, but also a bit nerve-wrecking for me and mom both.

Senior: Blake

Blake didn’t have to travel far for his senior portrait session… he lives less than a block from the studio.  He and his mom had lots of ideas about what they wanted to do, and were happy to marry those with our ideas for some great portraits.

Senior: Amber

I love having intelligent conversations with our clients.  Amber seems to know what she’s doing and where she’s headed.  🙂

Senior: Matt

Matt and I clicked right away… it paid off in the long run, because we spent more than two hours together creating portraits.  Diana got involved on one effort, because we needed some serious artwork skills.

Senior: Trent

Trent is no ordinary senior… and as such he needed something completely out of the ordinary for his senior portraits.  Finding the perfect location is always a challenge, but I knew just where I wanted to take him.

Senior: Alexis

Sometimes I hit it off well with parents AND their children.  Really having connected with Bill and Diane (Alexis’ parents), they were wonderful to work with and knew exactly what they wanted.

Alexis was just a great subject… she has an amazing smile, a great disposition and once we got to know each other, she was a lot of fun.  The first picture here is hanging in their living room as a large gallery wrap canvas.  Beautiful.

Senior: Kelsey (another one)

We did the senior portraits of Kelsey’s older sister, Erin, about two years ago.  Kelsey seemed to find most of what I said funny… hmm. :\

Senior: Chris

Chris is a musician… prolific in several instruments.  His parents were quite avid about one particular image… the first one here.

Senior: Tara

Tara and her mom had photos taken at the school, but were less than happy with the results.  The biggest complaint seemed to be that they didn’t take enough time making sure that the results were going to be the best.

At TLC, we call it “cookie cutter photography,” and what that means is that everyone is treated basically the same as any other senior.  Same lighting, backgrounds, an approach to their images.  Quick in and out, keep the line moving.  It’s not the way WE work, because we allocate plenty of time for each senior… and sometimes we go over that. 🙂

We had a great time with Tara, and her mom.

This is the more playful side… she was happy about putting her feet up on the furniture. 🙂
